A selection, not an archive
This is curated rather than exhaustive. Each piece was picked to show how a style is actually executed, so if you are still working out which direction suits your idea, this is the page worth spending time on.
Most of what you see is custom, drawn for one person. Flash is the exception. Those designs are ready to go and start at $100–$150.
What to look for in each style
Watch the mid-tones. Black and grey depends on the greys doing the work, so the darks stay deep while the soft transitions still read from across a room rather than turning to mush.
More realism work →Fine line lives or dies on spacing. These are drawn with deliberate room between elements, because lines spread slightly as they settle and crowded work closes up over time.
More fine line work →Lettering is weighted and angled to follow the part of the body it sits on instead of being dropped on flat, which is what keeps a name or a date legible years later.
More lettering work →Every cover-up is planned around what is already on the skin. See the finished cover-ups in the portfolio above, and real before and afters on the cover-up page. Send a clear photo of your existing tattoo for an honest assessment.
How cover-ups work →Booking a piece like these
Aliza tattoos by appointment only at Ink. Body Art, 3508 N. 7th St. #125 in central Phoenix. Day rates are $850 for a full day and $650 for a half day, with smaller custom pieces quoted individually. A non-refundable 30% deposit books the appointment and comes off the total.
Bring reference images if you have them, along with a rough size and where on the body you want it. Those three things are usually enough to quote from. Once you are booked, the aftercare guide covers how to look after it while it heals.
